Mike and I went to NYC overnight Sat to celebrate my birthday. Mike made all the plans, dinner at a tapas restaurant, a show "The 25th annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" and a hotel room. Mike's parents stayed here with the girls. We had a great time. We got so crazy we drank the $8 Coronas in the mini bar!!! It was hard for me to just relax when we first got there. I just felt like I had stuff to do!! It was nice to get out by ourselves, just like the old days!!
Olivia now has 4 teeth, two on top and two on bottom. She just started singing also! When you sing "the babies on the bus say..." she goes "dadada". It is so funny!! Ava has "mama" down pretty good but most times it is in despair. Like when someone wants to change her or put her to bed!! She also does "this" when you give her something. Lila is still Lila. She just makes us laugh all the time. She is on her own agenda. She is getting better at crawling. Now she will crawl over things. They are all really good at crawling. Ava and Olivia stand for short (seconds) periods of time. And pulling up is second nature to them. As far as food goes - if you cook it they will eat it. Turkey breast, grilled cheese, all kinds of fruit and veggies, shredded chicken. Doing really well with finger foods. We hardly do any of the pureed foods now. Just oatmeal in the morning and cereal at night. the rest they feed themselves. If you put the cereal on the spoon and give it to Lila she actually feeds herself. The noise coming from the high chairs is gross. Alot of lip smacking!!!
Happy first birthday to Ava and Jessica!! We went to the girls' first friend birthday party!!! Patricia had a couple of us over for the girls' birthday. They all had a lot of fun. Seamus and Tobin were there and holding their own with my bullies ( they are a few months younger than the girls). How funny - the girls have a whole list of friends!!!
