Ava decided to scream for a few hours our first night there until we put her in a playpen in our room. She would not be the last one to use the playpen.
On Saturday, Lila was still hot even with Tylenol and Motrin so we went to the urgen care center in Avalon and it turns out she had an ear infection. So we got her Amoxycilin which she proceeded to spit back at us just about every time we gave it to her.
Lila and I took a few late night car rides while we were down there. I guess she couldn't get enough fun in the day, so she had to wake up at night!!
Overall, we managed to get two trips to the beach...one just Lisa and I and one with Grandmom and Pop-pop Joe, Aunt Jen and Uncle Mike and Aunt Sue and Madelyn. We made two trips to the OC boardwalk...one with the May version of Aunt Jen and Uncle Mike and one with Grandmom, Pop-pop Joe and Great Pop-pop.
During their second trip to OC we took them on a few of the rides and they seemed to like them for the most part. They mostly enjoyed riding up and down the boards in their choo choo wagon, waving at everyone that passed by. It was all too much fun for Olivia and she ended up falling asleep in Great Pop-pop's arms during the walk back to the car.
Just to make things even more fun, Lila developed a real nice rash on Friday that spread just about all over her. Then the girls decided not to sleep Saturday night.
We made a quick getaway on Sunday and came home. They were up until about 9, but then slept all night.
Lila got checked out by the pediatrician and she is now fine. The rash was probably from a viral infection that just happened to appear at the same time as the ear infection. All around bad timing.
I attached a bunch of pictures below to give some of the highlights of the trip. Next year should be a little easier!!

Gotta love those family vacations!!! Jesse and I couldnt help but chuckle at your "adventure". We have been thru it too. Its just not pretty! hopefully one day you will have a "relaxing" family vacation. LOL! Good to have you home!
hey lisa, mike olivia, lila, and ava it is cassidy. your trip souned like u guys had a pretty good time. the girls are so cute. lisa i hope one day when i am off u can bring the girls to culinary.

You two are amazing to even attempt a vacation with the girls. They always look so cute. I love the way they cruise the OC boardwalk. We will see you around, Jessica and the gang down the street!
Next year the girls will have Kaylie to play with. Fun Fun Fun
