Busy, Busy, Busy

So much for the lazy days of summer. We have been on the move!!! This past weekend we were in Virginia for a family reunion/Grammy's birthday party. We stayed overnight in a hotel with the girls and they loved the pool!! It was going really well until Lila fell down and cracked her head on the concrete. Even though her forehead grew a regulation size golf ball on the front of it, she recovered pretty fast when we got up to the room. They did really well in the hotel and loved the free breakfast in the morning!! They never eat that much for me at home!

Last weekend Mike and I went to wedding for someone he works with. It was nice to get out without the girls for a little. We had a great time. Mike really enjoyed the wine - a little too much!! Next weekend we have a birthday party and in a few weeks we are going to Hershey park. Then Ashley comes to visit from CA. She will be on her way to spend a semester in Italy! Then after Labor day, the rest of the CA gang is visiting! Beside our travels we have been having some good summer fun right here in Marlton! Most days we are lounging outback in our baby pool. We have taken the girls in our big pool and they love to jump off the side into the water. Of course, they have enough flotation on that the Titanic may have had a chance. Mike calls them Hanz and Franz because their little bathing suits have the floaties built right in so they look like body builders! We also have gone to a few swim clubs with the girls' friends. Go figure - they have tons of friends already!!

Lila's mastery of the english language has really taken off. Although it has a decidedly southern accent. Last night she had "cohn" for dinner. You know, as in "cohnbread" and "cohn on the cob". Sometimes she even gets out whole sentences like "I saw bird" and "I don't want to go outside". She never repeats them for me though. One of her favorite words is "no" but she draws it out and it cracks me up! All three of them have the word "down". They use it mainly for when they want out of their highchairs. They point to the ground and say "down". Ava kinda yells it though, and when we are in a restaurant it is a little much!! Ava and Liv talk but it is mostly gibberish. Lila is half gibberish and half words and thoughts.

Right now the girls are really into their baby dolls. We dress and undress them about 100 times aday. Lila even makes me put real diapers on them! They put them in the baby bassinets and carry them around the house. I taught them how to burp the babies except that I have to make the burp sound!! We are still totally consumed with the Wiggles! Every morning we watch an episode. Liv does the sign for "on" and points to the TV. In our spare time (yeah right) we take the girls up to Great Adventure to Wiggles World there. They love the cheesy stage show with the characters and we even go for a ride on the Big Red Car!!!

Here is a great picture of the girls in their new dress-up hats and boas.
