We went down, just the five of us, on Saturday night after the girls ate dinner. We decided to pack them in their PJ's so they could fall asleep on the way down. Olivia, of course, decided to stay awake the entire ride.
Sunday morning we went to the beach. We weren't sure how the girls would react. It took them a few minutes to warm up to it, but before too long, Olivia was running into the water. We had to stop her from going too deep. I turned around at one point to try to walk back to the blanket and she stood in front of me, pushing me back towards the water. Their cousins Dominic and Michael (as well as Aunt Tia) showed up around noon and all five kids played really nicely together. We were shocked to see Ava actually sitting in the sand. We ended up spending five hours on the beach that day and the girls crashed hard that night and we asleep before 7.
Monday we tried the beach again, but it was too windy to stay and the girls were probably still pretty tired. When we got back to the house, they ate lunch and slept for at least two hours each. We had to wake Lila up after three hours so that we could leave for OC and get some dinner.
They really love pizza and Mac n' Manco fit the bill Monday night. We took a little walk after dinner and decided to go back to Wonderland to ride the rides. They went on the carousel and seemed to like it. After that, we tried to get on the other rides, but, they closed the rides at 7. So we got some ice cream and left the boardwalk around 8.
Today, we took the girls to Sesame Place. There weren't too many rides that they could do, but they really enjoyed the wave pool and one of the play areas where the water shoots out of everywhere. They liked seeing the characters during the parade at the end of the day, but when we met the characters during the day, the girls were not big fans. Olivia chased a few away by crying.
The girls are staying at Grandmom and Pop-pop Joe's tonight. After the past five days, Lisa and I really need a rest!
Here are some pictures...
