Happy Mother's Day!

Our first mother's day was a great success!! We took the girls into the city for our breast cancer walk. They were great the whole time, even with all those people. Olivia never cried in the middle of 45,000 people!!!! It took us just under 2 hours to finish. Not too bad considering all the stops we had to make - who is hungry, who is cranky!! We ended up have a big team. Mike's parents, Jen, Mike, Kathy, Jim, Eddie, Bobby, Uncle Dave, and Jake made up The Pink Zinks. It was really powerful to see so many people there and be part of something so big. It is even more powerful to see so many survivors, they wear special pink shirts, and think that there are so many more who didn't get to walk this year. It is a good feeling to know that our little donation and our presence can really make a difference. It was really important to be there with our girls. Our website can still take donations until June. Thanks to our team for walking with us and to everyone who has helped us reach our goal and make a difference no matter how small we think it is.

We had a nice brunch at our house after the walk. The girls were pooped and so were we. Mike and I both got a chance to nap after everyone left. This mother's day was quite different than last year. I was in the ER last year on mother's day. Wasn't sure that we would be celebrating mother's day this year but here we are!!! Three healthy little girls that are a handful. Ava's vocabulary no longer includes "ma-ma". Everything is "da-da" and one "pop-pop". She is just the happiest baby I've ever seen. She laughs at anything, she laughs when she looks at Lila. And Lila, she loves to give kisses. Big, wet kisses. We call it shark attack when she comes after your cheek. Speaking of cheeks, Olivia is rolling all around. She is proving the pediatrician's theory wrong. " The bigger the stomach the longer to roll over!!" We are still waiting for Lila to make it all the way over. She gets over just enough to reach what she wants. Livi is really teething, chewing everything. And she holds her bottle really good.

Here are some pics from over the weekend. Enjoy!!!
