A relaxing weekend with the fam

Well, not relaxing but definitely a weekend!! We ran away to the shore because Mike has a long weekend with the holiday Tuesday. Not a real holiday but a federal holiday all the same!!! Anyway, the weekend got off to a bang on Saturday when Lila came down with a fever of 101.7. Then she got sick to her stomach. We thought that might be the end of the weekend, but with some Motrin and a very long night with her we finally got some sleep and she seemed better on Sunday. So we stayed, played on the beach a bit and came back to the house for tubbies. That is when Lila pooped in the tub. Time for the second HAZ-MAT cleanup in two days! Monday morning got off to a good start when Livi pushed against the table in her chair and fell straight backwards! Taking the whole bowl of cereal and milk with her. Monday did perk up when we went to leave for the morning and found a baby turtle in the garage. We put it in a box and called the Wetlands Institute. They told us to release it into the bay grass at sunset. So we set him aside and headed for AC. Some quick shopping at the outlets and we walked up to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch.The girls LOVED it!!! We had a big round booth with a fish tank right behind it. Lila pointed out the "yewow" (yellow) fish for the whole restaurant. I think I walked around that restaurant 20 times looking at all the animals and trees and stuff. The girls weren't crazy about the "thunderstorm" but they loved the animals moving and making noises. The next stop was the candy store to pick out our M&Ms. Of course we got yewow, bue, geen, purple and pink. After a nap and a trip up to the park we let our turtle friend go. The girls all took turns touching him, gave him a kiss and said "bye bye". Mike put him down in the reeds and we assume he made it safely to the bay. Lila told us he was going to his "beach home". I guess she is kinda right!!!
