Our First Colds!!
Well, it finally happened, we all shared our first cold together. Even Mike and I were stuffed up. The girls noses are so congested and they hate the process to clear them (I'll spare you the snotty details). It's awful to hear them like that. Other than that, they are doing really well. Everyone is holding their heads up pretty good. They are now laughing and smiling at us. Of course we have to talk to them in that goofy high pitched voice that only babies and dogs can hear!! They do really well in their Bumbo seats. They are these specially designed seats for babies who can hold their heads up but not sit up yet. It makes them sit up pretty good. It is really funny to see them sitting like that, they look so big to us!!! The warm weather was great. We took advantage of it and took the girls to Washington's Crossing State Park. Mike and I packed a picnic lunch and the girls got some delicious formula. While we ate at a picnic table, they hung out in their stroller. Olivia was jealous so we got her hands free bottle out and she ate along with us. Then we took them into the Visitor's Center where we fed and changed everyone. I think more people looked at us than at the historical displays. Finally we got to take a nice walk all through the park. It seems like the girls are going to be outdoors people like us after all. They were so good all day, and they slept the best that night. Which brings us to sleep - the thorn in our side. Things have taken a turn for the better. Olivia and Lila do the best at night for now. Ava seems to like the night life. Lila has taken to sleeping 8 or 10 hours. Olivia still likes to have a 4 am snack. And Ava - still a little confused about the difference between day and night. It takes her till about 2 or 3 to fall asleep. The really good news is that they go into the crib with minimal fight now. Don't want to get too excited but maybe we will be able to join the world of the well rested soon. Well, at least we will be better rested - we are 18 years away from being "well rested"!!!!!!!
